"Go Wild for Reading" author festival hosted children's illustrator Brenda Clark at the NB Museum theatre, and Franklin the Turtle in Market Square.
Co-op Student Project brings the Harry Potter Reading Club and the puppet shows "Stephanie's Ponytail" and "The Paperbag Princess" to Crescent Valley.
October, 2002. Received NLS funds for Project. Hiring of Project Coordinator for Family Literacy Promotional Visuals.

Friend of Family Literacy Awards
we held an event at the Bibliotheque le Cormoran (Centre Samuel de Champlain): Her Honour read to preschool children and talked to parents.
The Friend of Family Literacy Awards were held at the Saint John Free Public Library. Awards were presented to Shirley McAlary & Millidgeville Market, Guest Speaker: The Honourable Marilyn Trenholme Counsell.
Hired two Early Childhood and Family Literacy Summer Students through TED- project hosted by Literacy NB Inc. Projects: Committee Flyer Draft, Storytents, Storysacks, Local Stories, Puppet Shows, Nursery Rhymes. This project was very successful.
We held a Proposal Brainstorming Session and submitted a proposal to the National Literacy Secretariat for funding.
Hosted the Canada Post Literacy Awards at the Family Literacy Festival on September 8, 2001. Held at the North End Centre (Saint John Learning Exchange /NBCC).
Fundraising - we received a $100.00 donation from John Herron. And, we started the T-shirt fundraiser in December, 2001
